Apply Adhesive
Apply Adhesive
- AVISIL Adhesive is recommended for use where the surface is dry.
- AVIFIX "High Tack" adhesive can be used where the surface is damp.
- AVIPOINT™ bird spikes have a unique Glue Guide on the underside of the base to allow quick and easy application of the adhesive.
- To open the adhesive, use the Adhesive Cutter Tool. Cut the cap of the tube by rotating the tool around the cap of the tube.
- Cut the nozzle along the second of the three guide lines (10mm from tip)
- Apply a 5mm band of adhesive in the Glue Guide of the AVIPOINT™ strip
- Press the AVIPOINT™ strip firmly into place
Attaching Avipoint Bird Spikes to a Gutter using AVICLIPS
- AVIPOINT™ spikes can be attached to a gutter using Aviclips for Gutters
- AVICLIPS fit securely onto the base of the P14, P20, P32 and G20 bird spikes
- They allow the spikes to be clipped onto the side of a variety of flat sided gutters, allowing free flow of water underneath
- AVICLIPS contain a Narrow Grip for Avipoint P14 and a Wide Grip for Avipoint P20, P32 and G20
- At least two AVICLIPS are required per AVIPOINT™ strip
Attaching Avipoint Bird Spikes to a Lipped Gutter using AVICLIPS
- AVIPOINT™ spikes can be attached to a gutter using Aviclips for Lipped Gutters
- AVICLIPS fit securely onto the base of the P14, P20, P32 and G20 bird spikes
- They allow the spikes to be clipped onto the side of a variety of different shaped gutters, allowing free flow of water underneath
- AVICLIPS contain a Narrow Grip for Avipoint P14 and a Wide Grip for Avipoint P20, P32 and G20
- At least two AVICLIPS are required per AVIPOINT™ strip
Attaching Avipoint Bird Spikes to a Window using AVICLIPS
- Aviclips for Windows solves the problem of installing bird spikes on a ledge in front of an outward opening window.
- The clips fit securely on to the base of the P20, P32 and G20 bird spikes. (Avipoint P14 is unsuitable for use on Windows)
- They allow the spike strips to be secured onto window frames using Avifix White adhesive or screws
- At least two AVICLIPS are required per AVIPOINT™ strip
Attaching Avipoint Bird Spikes to a Beam using AVICLIPS
- AVIPOINTâ„¢™ spikes can be attached to a steel I-Beam using Aviclips for Beams
- AVICLIPS fit securely onto the base of the P14, P20, P32 and G20 bird spikes
- They allow the spikes to be clipped onto beams up to 35mm think and 40mm to 230mm deep
- AVICLIPS for Beams should be used where you cannot glue the Spikes onto the beam
- AVICLIPS contain a Narrow Grip for Avipoint P14 and a Wide Grip for Avipoint P20, P32 and G20
- For thinner beams, snap the AVICLIP between the two grips, and insert the AVIPOINT P14 strip into the Narrow Grip
- For wider beams, insert the AVIPOINT strip into the Wide Grip
- At least two AVICLIPS are required per AVIPOINT™ strip.
Attaching Avipoint Bird Spikes to a Pipe
- AVIPOINT™ can be attached to a pipe using adhesive, rail clamps and cable ties
- Rail Clamps are available in sizes from 25mm diameter to 160mm
- Use the appropriate sized cable tie (120mm, 200mm, 292mm or 432mm)
Attaching Avipoint Bird Spikes to a Curved Surface
- On a curved surface, such as signs, snap the AVIPOINT™ strip into sections before gluing
Attaching Avipoint Bird Spikes to a TV Aerial
- AVIPOINTâ„¢ can be attached to a aerial using cable ties. Adhesive may also be used
